Sharonville | Cincinnati, OH Wow!  I mean seriously, wow!  What an incredible experience it was to be able to be a part of something so special.  It’s not everyday this midwestern white boy gets a chance to be a part of something as culturally rich as a Bengali (Bangladesh) Mehndi celebration.  If you aren’t familiar with the tradition don’t worry, I wasn’t either until Greg and Fahema chose me to take pictures for it.  Basically, it’s a Indian, Pakistani or Bengali celebration proceeding a wedding.  The traditional Mehndi is days long but G&F decided to shorten it to a couple hours on New Year’s Eve because they were having a full western wedding on Saturday.

As you can see from the pictures Fahema was insanely gorgeous in her dress and jewelry…a true Bengali princess!  It was hilarious to see a 6’4″ American guy dressed in full Bengali garb complete with a turban and he wore it well.  The best part might be that they couldn’t find any shoes in Bangladesh that would fit Greg’s GIANT feet so they had to cut the back out of the biggest shoes they could find:)

This couple is amazing and I can’t wait to tell you all about them in their wedding post coming soon. For now let me just say that I was so honored to have the chance to take these pictures. I hope you enjoy them as much as do!
