A Great Day for a Wedding…Let’s Play Two.

For those of you who didn’t get the reference in the title of the post…it’s a variation on the best baseball quote of all time…Google it:)

We love it when couples take their wedding and make it all about their personalities and things that are meaningful to them. This couple met playing softball and baseball in college, so they took the baseball theme and ran with it. The amazing part is, it’s really fun while still being elegant and even a little girly. Something like this would be perfect for two crazy Reds fans here in Cincy!

The Dirty South

I am from the south, so I am always a bit partial to sweet Southern affairs like this one from Goode Green Photography. I love how they brought so many antique furniture items outdoors to create the perfect sunlit setting.

My favorite charming elements:

1. A gorgeous oriental rug as a dance floor.

2. A rustic canopy for the vows built from simple branches.

3. A chandelier hanging from a tree over the dining table.

4. A bango as a picture prop.

5. Serving MoonPies and Stewart’s Oranges ‘n Cream! (It doesn’t get much more Southern than that.)

Dream. Create. Inspire. | PartnerCon in New Orleans

Astor Crowne Plaza | New Orleans, LA Last week was amazing! I had the chance to attend a great photography conference in New Orleans called PartnerCon. I have plenty of things that I need to sit down and write about but for now I just want to put up my favorite pictures from the shooting workshop I was involved in. I got to shoot with the incomparable Mike Colon & Jeff Youngren…which was a pleasure to say the least. Each had a different perspective on the shoot and I learned so much from both. My greatest learning from the week was to discover who I am as an artist and shoot toward that. I am learning to be who I am and not try to copy the newest fads out there. Thanks for that encouragement guys!

These girls were so fun and great to photograph. Each brought their own personality to the shoot and were willing to try anything for the picture. If by chance any of the girls read this…THANKS for putting up with a bunch of photographers telling you what to do for a few hours! And thanks to Mike and Kelly Moore Photography for introducing them to us.

Cincinnati Engagement Pictures | Sarah & Derek’s Sneak Peeks

Eden Park & Mt. Adams | Cincinnati, OH This weekend was so perfect for grabbing some gorgeous engagement photos. It helps when you have a great looking couple to put in those pictures. Sarah and Derek looked great and were super fun to get to walk around with. We walked away from the day with great photos and a couple funny stories to tell…right guys?

Cincinnati Wedding Photographer | Incredibly Beautiful Vintage Wedding

Tonight I happened to stumble upon one of the coolest wedding ideas I have seen ever seen.

I was going through some old messages on Twitter that had initially caught my eye, but for whatever reason I wasn’t able to check out the links when they were first posted. Anyways, someone had posted a link to a pretty cool vintage wedding… Like 70′s era vintage. And it was VERY well done… Classic 70′s wardrobe/decorations/photos/etc… So I started clicking through the rest of the site, just to see what other people had done. That’s when I found this wedding:

Cincinnati Wedding Photographer | Jay & Amy’s Sneak Peeks

St. Columban Catholic Church and Bel-Wood Country Club | Loveland & Morrow, Ohio Saturday was such an amazing day for a wedding! Amy and Jay couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day and I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful couple to work with. Their smiles, their laid-back demeanor and their love for each other were inspiring for sure. I loved meeting their families and friends and just getting to absorb in for a few hours. I often think about how lucky I am…how many people get to show up on one of the most important days in a families’ life and get to be treated like I belong there?
